Steven D. Pals, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. degree in Biology, and received his medical degree from Tufts University in Boston in 1985. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha, the honorary medical society, during his third year of medical school. Post-graduate training included a general surgical internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, Aurora, CO. Dr. Pals was certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 1994 and recertified in 2005. He was elected to Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons in October 1997. He served in the US Army Medical Corps from June 1985 through September 1994, and in October of 1994, he moved to Beaver Dam and established the Beaver Dam Orthopaedic Clinic. Dr. Pals and his family are residents of Beaver Dam.
Bert C. Callahan, M.D.
Graduated from University of Iowa with a B.S. degree with Honors in General Science and received his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1987. His post-graduate training included a transitional internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, Aurora, CO. Dr. Callahan was certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in July 1996, recertified in 2006, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the Christian Medical Association, the American College of Sports Medicine, and is a Preceptor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. He served in the US Army Medical Corps from June 1987 through September 1996. Dr. Callahan and his family are residents of Beaver Dam.
Paul F. Shuler, M.D.
Graduated from Michigan Technological University in 1989 with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and received his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 1996. His post graduate training included a general surgery internship and residency in Orthopaedic Suregery at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He was certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in July 2003, elected to Fellowship in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in February 2006, and is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Shuler is a native of Wisconsin and after completing his orthopaedic training in Michigan, he, his wife, and their four children were drawn back to Wisconsin by the small town values and sense of community here. His personal interests include water sports, skiing, biking, woodworking, and, above all, his family.
Patrick M. Simon, M.D.
Graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1992 with a B.S. degree in Molecular Biology and went on to complete his Masters degree in the same field in 1995. His post-graduate training included a general surgical internship and orthopaedic surgery residency completed at the University of Cincinnati in 2004. Dr. Simon was certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in July 2006. He became a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in February 2008. He is also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Simon, his wife, and four children now reside in Beaver Dam.
